Urban Modern Elopement

Modern glam and drama right here! Take a gander at this elopement fusing modern style and sass with heaps and heaps of romance. Simply Splendid sent over these beautiful pictures and I couldn’t look away for the life of me. I was caught up in the swirls of lace and silk mixed in with the industrial look of Opal 28. And that poofy ball gown with the intricate details on the bodice was just the icing on this very delicious cake.

Opal 28, an intimate urban venue in Portland offered a wonderful backdrop for the inspired affaire. I love how each soft and delicate detail worked so lovely together with the modern elements. Clean lined furniture, concrete accent walls, large windows flooding in soft light, warm gold and brushed copper accents, all made for great bones while chantilly lace, habotai silk, pink and red delicate blooms, candlelight, and a most lovely Claire La Faye’s gown brought in all the softness a couple in love could want for a lavish urban elopement.

A bushed copper modern arch with candles and blooms on the floor created a great alter backdrop and the floor lighting transitioned so romantically to the tables for the dinner/dessert portion. Lucky enough to be invited as a guest to such a decadent celebration? Papela Invites designed a beautiful invitation suite that set the tone perfectly while Wildflower Portland created imaginative floral accents with a boutonniere in the shape of a ring and edible petals adorned the blush pink signature cocktail. The Rosybakes cake was such a delightful focal point for such an enticing dessert table accented with gold sugar ribbons tucked in amongst pomegranates, cherries, artisanal cheeses, and beautiful little dessert bites. All in all, it created the perfect atmosphere for two young people in love celebrating an intimate union.
