Modern Romantic Wedding with Pops of Marsala

Today’s wedding effortlessly blends modern and romantic style, leaving us with a wedding that immediately draws the eye and stirs the imagination. Amanda and Jeff exchanged vows in San Diego before moving up the coast to Oregon, leaving in true style. From the wedding designer, To La Lune: During the wedding design & planning process, Amanda informed us that Jeff had been accepted into an MBA program in Oregon, which meant Amanda would be moving up to Oregon to join Jeff just weeks after the wedding. In anticipation for this big move, it only made sense to build the excitement into their big day. Working with Peanut Press Creative, we designed a custom hedge backdrop that would be the focal point of the reception space. Surrounded by burning candle sconces, floated the quote, “Where you go, I will go, where you stay, I will stay, when you move, I’ll move, I will follow.” Guests enjoyed lounging in this cozy space throughout the evening, sipping cocktails, sharing laughs, and creating new memories!

Upon entering into the reception Jeff became teary eyed with surprise when Amanda revealed the cake she had custom designed by Hey There, Cupcake! in ode to the new state they would soon be calling home! Excited to break the tradition of the age-old “sign-in book”, Amanda & Jeff opted to do 1, 5, & 10 year wedding anniversary capsules instead! Here guest were encouraged to choose their own adventure & leave a marriage tip, a favorite road trip song, or well wishes for A&J to read on one of these anniversaries! Abstract modern designs were incorporated throughout every sign & paper element via mixed marbles, brush strokes, and paint splatters individually designed custom by Peanut Press Creative.

Bloom Babes didn’t hold back one bit on the freshly cut greenery & bold moody blooms! From Amanda’s gorgeous bouquet, to the 6′ chandelier enveloped in smilax, and every greenery garland & pedestal floral arrangement in between! Serious about their love for an amazing cup of coffee, Amanda & Jeff treated their guests to their favorite blend perfectly packaged in mini glass jars wrapped with silk ribbon. In addition to the above, some of our favorite design elements included the matte black plates paired with modern gold flatware, acrylic laser cut table numbers, and the paint splattered dining plates we found especially for Amanda & Jeff’s place settings!
