Garden Inspired Bridal Shower

If this Dolce and Gabbana inspired wedding that we shared earlier got you weak in the knees, then the bridal shower the bride had is just what the doctor ordered. The bride, who is also an Event Designer herself at RDT Events + Beauty, left her secret garden inspired bridal shower in the hands of stylist Melissa Baum Events and Mango Studios was there to capture it. Just wait until you get a peek at that wedding cake!

From the bride, Renata: I had my vision of a “Secret Garden” but knew as the bride, I couldn’t do it all myself so I co-produced and styled my bridal shower along with my talented friend Melissa, (of Melissa Baum Events) – as 2 heads are better than one! Together we took my vision of a Secret Garden and we made it grow into something beautiful.

A secret garden is just that – a garden full of secrets and whimsical elements. We enlisted Becky from Blush and Bloom to create a garden oasis. We wanted to mimic the entrance to a secret garden so guests entered by passing through a gorgeous garland draping the front doors. Mixed blooms, birds, vintage book pages, moss and more filled the tables. Keeping with the theme, each table featured “secrets” about Renata’s bridesmaids. The head table had hanging globes atop of it with blooms draping down and out of the globes.

The stunning sweet table was filled with yummy desserts from Nadia & Co ~ that all sat atop a vintage desk, from Key Event Rentals. It featured hand painted pink macarons, pink popcorn, candy apples and a cake that was truly a work of art. The sweet table was complete with signage by Anista Designs. I handmade our moss guest board (with real moss!) and the vintage escort cards, also made by Anista Designs, were attached to vintage keys. As guests said their goodbyes, they had hand wrapped soaps in hand with custom labels reading “Soap Glad You Could Come!” Mango Studios captured our event so perfectly!

  • Excellent ideas about how to photography wedding details. Like a wedding photographer in San Francisco Bay Area, I myself am trying to capture as much details as possible on my weddings.

The rings, shoes and dress are typical but you have given me great ideas about food and decorations. Thank you for the great article.
